11th March at 19.00 at the creative space “Chasopys” will take place the next meeting of Art Club “Faces”. During the meeting, a popular Ukrainian writer Oksana ZABUZHKO will read excerpts from the latest book of essayistic work From the Map of Books and People, dedicated to the actuality of The Museum after publication, and will talk about the new book, which is being prepared for publication in collaboration with the Polish journalist Izabela Chruslinska.

Sponsored by Arseniy Yatsenyuk ‘Open Ukraine’ Foundation, Maryna Zheleznyak, the film director-documentarian visited Reykjavik. During her stay in Iceland the filmmaker attended lectures on video editing by Valdis Oskarsdottir, the local professional, as well as finished montage of her feature length documentary film Hryhoriy Ivanovych under Valdis’ supervision. This film will be presented in Ukraine in the early 2013. Valdis Oskarsdottir – one of the most interesting film editors in Europe. In due time Valdis cooperated with Lars von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg.

With the support of Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation “Open Ukraine” Odessa’s cellists duet “Violoncellissimo” performed a concert at the National Ukraine Cultural Centre in Moscow and took part in the International Theater Festival, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Russian Futurism.

Holiday was conducted through the annual program “Give warmth to children” for St. Nicholas Day 20December 2012 in Dnipropetrovsk.

If Ukrainians will not start reading, modern Ukrainian literature will never become true literary phenomenon. Famous Ukrainian writer and a talented screenwriter Andriy KURKOV expressed this opinion during the meeting of the Art Club “Faces”.
