Childhood should be a celebration – this stressed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation “Open Ukraine” Tereziya Yatsenyuk at the charity ball for 300 children with physical disabilities. Holiday was conducted through the annual program “Give warmth to children” for St. Nicholas Day 20December 2012 in Dnipropetrovsk.

“Second year in a row I attend this ball that has already become a tradition for kids. Childhood should be a celebration and we are extremely pleased to give children the very same fairy tale for which they are waiting for the entire year. And besides, we know how important such events are for their spiritual, social and physical development. Moreover, there is no greater pleasure than to see their fun games and talented performances,” said Tereziya Yatsenyuk.

During the visit to Dnipropetrovsk Tereziya Yatsenyuk also attended boarding school for children with hearing disabilities, students of which prepared a wonderful concert for guests and presented handmade paintings.

“Children sang, danced beautifully, honor and praise to their teachers. They convey the desire and ability to love life and be good at heart,” said Tereziya Yatsenyuk.

Tereziya Yatsenyuk also greeted with New Year holidays children of secondary school #28, administration of which pays special attention to sports development in children. Students are involved in dance, gymnastics, football and kickboxing. For guests pupils prepared and conducted a real Olympic lesson that convinced everyone of the importance of physical education for modern Ukrainian youth.

Tereziya Yatsenyuk thanked the young athletes and noted that she has always considered sport an integral part of a healthy lifestyle and that is how she is raising her children. “Do not change this direction you have chosen. Always be with sports,” Chairman of the Foundation wished children.

Children from Pereshchepynskyi orphanage also had an opportunity to demonstrate their athletic skills and celebrate St. Nicholas Day. Arranged for them was a visit to Dnipropetrovsk, and a real bowling tournament.

We remind that Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation “Open Ukraine” Tereziya Yatsenyuk annually visits orphanages throughout Ukraine on St. Nicholas Day to chat with children, deprived of parental care and administration of these children's institutions.
