On April 10-11, 2014 Kyiv will host the 7th Kyiv Security Forum “On the Fault Line: to be Secure In–Between”. Over 400 international and Ukrainian policy leaders, representatives of political, business and civic circles from more than 20 countries of the world will discuss global security trends and challenges in current international relations. This year the main theme of the Forum will focus on recent developments in Ukraine and close to its borders, their preconditions, and possible outcomes for the country, region, Europe and even for the world at large.

Ukraine will participate in Paris Book Fair 2014
From 21 to 24 March Paris will welcome one of the biggest book forums in the world – Paris Book Fair. Supported by Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation, Ukraine will take part in exhibition; meanwhile 1200 publishing houses have already confirmed participation in it. Argentina was chosen a special guest country of this year’s book fair, and will be represented by 30 writers. Shanghai was selected as a special guest city.
The Open World Discussion Club will host Oleksandr CHALY, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine
Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation initiates an informal meeting for young experts and professionals of international relations, students, post-graduates and civic activists with renowned Ukrainian diplomat Oleksandr CHALY. The meeting will be held on March 19, 2014 in Kyiv (Khreschatyk Hotel, conference hall “Volodymyrskiy”, Khreschatyk str.14) at 18:30 (registration starts at 18:00).
Maryna Zubko took part in a contest for internship with youth troupe of National Paris Opera
The Open Ukraine Foundation provided a travel grant to Maryna Zubko to participate in a rehearsal contest to win internship with youth troupe of National Opera of Paris. The 5th year graduate student of vocal faculty of the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music have passed to the second round (37 out of 278 participants have been selected).
Yuriy Zavadskiy participated in the International Poetry Festival “Poems on the pavement” in memory of Mikhas Straltsov
Supported by Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation poet Yuriy Zavadskiy participated in International Poetry Festival “Poems on the pavement” dedicated to the memory of Mikhas Straltsov. The event was held in Minsk from 14 to 16 February of 2014.
200th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko
Today, March 9, 2014 is a 200th anniversary of the birth of the symbol of Ukraine – poet and writer, artist and civic activist – Taras Shevchenko.
