On the stage of Tel Aviv Chamber Theatre the famous theatres of Europe and Israel presented plays by Hanoch Levin, one of the most famous play-writer of Israel. The festival programme included many plays that proved not only the popularity and international interest to Levin’s drama, but also rich variety and extent of his plays: poetry, fine arts, music, theatre, dance and drama. Also the festival hosted press-conferences, round-tables, dedicated to 70th birthday anniversary of Hanoch Levin and different meetings with prominent theatre critics and theatre directors: Moni Moshonov and Anna Novitska (directors of “Copper” play, originally from Israel and Poland); Yan Englert and Laurent Gutmann (directors of Israel’s theatres) and others.

The purpose of the trip of “Golden Lion” Festival Manager to Tel Aviv festival was to get to know various theatrical productions of Hanoh Levin’s works by different European and Israel theatres in order to invite one of the performances to the International ‘Golden Lion’ Theatrical Festival in 2014. Also the Ukrainian artist wanted to choose one of the plays by the famous playwriter for possible staging in Lviv.

«The festival provided me with the opportunity to meet world-renowned artists, teatrical scholars, critics, play translators and Levin’s teatre amatours. After visiting the Festival I have an intent to invite “Requiem” play performed by the Tel Aviv Chamber Theatre to next ‘Golden Lion-2014’ Festival”, Yaroslav Fedorushun commented on his trip.
