Over the years of its existence the Children’s Reading Week has become one of the most popular and beloved holidays of Ukrainian children. During the holiday young readers of the children’s libraries in Ukraine receive more useful information, visit presentations of new books and meet their writers.
"Taras Shevchenko and Me" is a book of the series of children's detective investigations "12 points" about the famous people of Ukraine, who affected the course of history and left their mark on the culture of the country. The main objective of the book is to help a child in his/her search for something interested in Taras Shevchenko’s personality for himself/herself, and to show that he was a common person as all the others.
It is a reminder that the children’s book "Taras Shevchenko and Me" was published thanks to the joint efforts of Arseniy Yatseniuk Open Ukraine Foundation and the Brothers Kapranovs’ Green Dog Publishing House in September 2011.
