The author of the project «Gra Doli» actress Natalia Sopit received the «Travel grant for artists» from the Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation to present a documentary film about Mykhailo Hrushevsky held in Peremyshl (Poland).
«The city of Peremyshl was not chosen by chance to present our film. In addition to the fact that our studio supports long friendship and cultural ties with East European University in Peremyshl, the city is very close to Ukraine historically too. Peremyshl is the oldest of the major centers of Galicia, as the Hill (the birthplace of Mykhailo Hrushevsky). Kholmshchyna is also now the Polish territory). Therefore, in the light of recent events that politically artificially pumped between the Polish and Ukrainian the events with information, cultural and positive emotional support of both parties are extremely important, especially on the basis of documentary films that dispel historical myths, once fused by Soviet propaganda. Film exhibition actually occurred from Lviv to Peremyshl. In particular in the Museum of Krushelnytska in Lviv, in the Pension of sisters of charity in Pralkivka (near Peremyshl), in the Ukrainian gymnasium in Peremyshl and in the Ukrainian People's home of the city,» - Natalia said.
